THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
Bookings, service and privacy
Coming soon — expressions of interest only. Bookings and payments are not open yet. The booking and service terms below describe how Private Days will work once bookings open; registering interest does not reserve or confirm a date.
I want you to feel comfortable with the details before we set off. This page explains what to expect and how I’ll look after your enquiry and booking.
Here you will find how bookings work, what happens when plans change, how I look after your information and what you can expect from A Little Beyond.

Booking and service terms
Booking your Private Day
A Little Beyond offers Private Days for one private group of up to four guests.
Pickup and return within 25 km driving distance of Stanthorpe Post Office are included in the published Private Day price. Other Queensland pickup locations are quoted individually, subject to availability. NSW, Tenterfield and cross-border services are deferred pending the necessary approvals.
The additional travel time, distance and direction of the day can vary, so I will confirm any extra charge in your personal quote before you book.
Your quote will clearly show:
the agreed pickup and return location
the length of your Private Day
the total service price
anything specific that has been included
Sending an enquiry does not hold a date or require payment. If I offer a provisional hold while you consider a quote, I will state its exact expiry in writing. The usual hold is 48 hours; it is not a confirmed booking.
To proceed, please reply in writing accepting your quote and the version of these terms supplied with it. Your booking is confirmed only once I have checked availability, received the 20% booking payment and sent you written confirmation.
The remaining balance is due seven days before your Private Day. For a booking made within seven days, the full amount is due before I confirm it in writing. Your quote and Square payment request will show the exact amounts and due dates.
If the balance is not received by the due date, I will contact you before releasing the booking. If payment remains outstanding, the booking may be cancelled and the cancellation terms below may apply.
Once your booking is confirmed, the quoted price will not change unless you ask to alter the pickup location, duration or another significant part of the day.
What your booking includes
Your Private Day includes a private vehicle and driver for your group, a conversation before the day, local suggestions, help shaping a sensible route with a few suitable stops, one set of changes to that outline, water in the vehicle and practical coordination along the way. Guests make their own venue reservations and pay venues directly.
Unless your quote says otherwise, tastings, meals, attraction entry, accommodation and anything you purchase during the day are paid directly to the relevant business.
Venue availability and booking conditions are set by each venue. I will help where I can, but their cancellation and refund policies remain their own.
Your booked time
Your Private Day begins at the agreed pickup time and ends when you return to the agreed location.
There is a 15-minute courtesy buffer for the ordinary delays that sometimes happen during a day. If you would like to keep going beyond that, extra time may be available by agreement at $45 for each commenced 30 minutes. I will check availability and agree the extension and charge with you before it begins. You will not be charged extra time caused by a delay on my part.
If your group is late for pickup, the original return time will normally remain unchanged unless extra time is agreed.
Changes to your booking
Requests to change the date, pickup location, duration or another significant part of your booking are subject to availability.
A change to the pickup location or duration may affect the quoted price. I will explain any difference before confirming the change.
If I cannot accommodate a substantial change, the cancellation terms below may apply.
If you need to cancel
Plans change. If you need to cancel, please let me know as soon as you can.
Fourteen days or more before your Private Day: your service payments will be refunded, less any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred with your knowledge.
Seven to thirteen days before your Private Day: I will refund your service payments less any reasonable, unrecoverable loss caused by the cancellation, up to 20% of the agreed Private Day price. If I rebook your time at the same or a higher service price, I will refund your A Little Beyond service payments in full. If I rebook it at a lower price, I will take the replacement booking into account when calculating any amount retained.
Less than seven days before your Private Day, or for a no-show: a cancellation charge of up to the full service price may apply, limited to reasonable, unrecoverable loss caused by the cancellation. If I rebook your time at the same or a higher service price, I will refund your A Little Beyond service payments in full. If I rebook it at a lower price, I will take the replacement booking into account when calculating any amount retained. I will explain the calculation and will not recover the same loss twice.
If something genuinely difficult has happened, please get in touch. I cannot promise a different outcome, but I will always consider the circumstances fairly.
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method. The time taken for the funds to appear will depend on the payment provider and your financial institution.
If I need to cancel
I may need to cancel or change a Private Day if it cannot be operated safely or as promised. This could include severe weather, unsafe roads, vehicle trouble, illness or another circumstance outside reasonable control.
If I cancel the service, you may choose:
a full refund of the service payments made to A Little Beyond; or
another available date that suits us both.
Costs paid directly to accommodation providers, venues or other businesses remain subject to their own terms.
Weather, roads and changing plans
Rain or cold weather does not automatically mean the day is cancelled. Some of the best Granite Belt days are the ones that call for a warm lunch and a change of pace.
If weather, road conditions or an unexpected venue closure affect the original plan, I will suggest practical alternatives. The route may change, but I will still aim to give you a day that feels worthwhile.
If conditions mean I cannot operate safely, you will be offered another available date or a full refund of the A Little Beyond service payment.
Alcohol and behaviour
You are welcome to enjoy tastings and drinks at the places we visit. Alcohol cannot be opened or consumed in the vehicle.
Everyone is expected to treat the driver, other guests, venue staff and local businesses respectfully.
I may refuse to begin or may bring the service to an end if intoxication, aggression, harassment, illegal conduct or unsafe behaviour makes it unreasonable to continue.
A refund will not normally be provided where the day is ended because of a guest’s behaviour, except where required by law.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the vehicle. Seatbelts must be worn whenever the vehicle is moving.
The vehicle, luggage and accessibility
Private Days are provided in a clean and comfortable Ford Everest Sport for up to four guests.
The vehicle is a high-set SUV and is not wheelchair accessible. If anyone in your group has mobility needs, please mention them when enquiring. I will explain honestly what the vehicle and proposed stops involve so you can decide whether the day will be suitable.
Please also tell me about any larger luggage, walking aids or other equipment before booking, as storage space is limited.
If children will be travelling, let me know their ages when enquiring so I can confirm whether the vehicle and required child restraints can be provided.
Pets may travel only by prior agreement. Assistance animals are welcome; please let me know beforehand so I can make the necessary practical arrangements.
Pickup areas
Pickup and return within 25 km driving distance of Stanthorpe Post Office are included in the published Private Day price.
Other Queensland pickup locations, including Warwick, are welcomed by enquiry and quoted individually to allow for additional travel time, distance and the direction of your Private Day, subject to availability. NSW, Tenterfield and cross-border services are deferred pending the necessary approvals.
If you are staying outside these areas, you are still welcome to ask. Send me your accommodation name or pickup address and I will let you know what is possible.

Squarespace and overseas processing
This website is hosted by Squarespace.
Squarespace collects and processes information needed to operate, secure and improve the website. This can include information about your browser, network and device, pages visited and your IP address.
Squarespace stores data in the United States. Other service providers may also store or process information outside Australia. Because provider infrastructure can change, it may not always be practical to identify every country in which information is processed.
You can read more in the Squarespace Privacy Policy.
Payments
Payment card details should only be entered through the payment provider shown during the payment process.
Card details are not collected through the general enquiry form or stored directly by A Little Beyond.
The payment provider handles payment information under its own privacy policy and security arrangements.
Cookies and website analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Necessary cookies allow Squarespace to operate and protect the website. Optional analytics and performance cookies may be used to understand website traffic and how visitors use the site.
Where the website’s cookie settings provide a choice, optional cookies will be used according to the preferences selected in the cookie banner.

Marketing
Making an enquiry does not automatically add you to a marketing list.
If you choose to receive occasional news or updates, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting hello@alittlebeyond.com.au.
Service emails about an enquiry or booking are not marketing messages.
Keeping and protecting information
I take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure and restrict access to people or service providers who need it for a legitimate business purpose.
Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for bookings, communication, accounting, safety, insurance or legal requirements. It is then deleted or securely disposed of where practical.
No online system is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Access and corrections
You may ask what personal information I hold about you or request that inaccurate information be corrected.
Send your request to hello@alittlebeyond.com.au. I may need to confirm your identity before providing access or making a correction.
I will respond within a reasonable time. In some circumstances, access may be limited or information may need to be retained to meet legal, insurance or accounting requirements. If I cannot fulfil a request, I will explain why where required.
Privacy concerns and complaints
If you are concerned about how your personal information has been handled, email hello@alittlebeyond.com.au with the subject line “Privacy”.
I will acknowledge your concern, look into what happened and respond within a reasonable time.
If the Privacy Act applies and you are not satisfied with the response, you may be able to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner through oaic.gov.au.
Journal and website standards
Independent recommendations
The Journal is shaped by first-hand experience, local knowledge and what I believe will genuinely help someone visiting the region.
Payment, advertising or a business relationship does not buy praise, a favourable ranking or automatic inclusion.
If an article involves a hosted visit, complimentary product, commission, paid partnership or another material relationship, I will disclose that where it is relevant.
Accuracy and corrections
Opening hours, prices, menus, road conditions, park access and venue policies can change.
I take reasonable care with the information published here, but it is always worth confirming important details directly with the relevant venue or official source before travelling.
If you notice something that is wrong or out of date, please let me know at hello@alittlebeyond.com.au. Genuine errors will be corrected as soon as practical.
